We primarily source cashews from Western, Central, and Eastern African regions. Cashew nuts are also imported to India for processing, packaging, and distribution in local and international markets.

Cashew trading is categorized into:

1. Import and export of raw cashew nuts.

2. Import and export of cashew kernels.

Standard specifications for cashew kernels include grades based on color, size, and shape:

• W-180 – Large and expensive (the “king” of cashews).
• W-210 – Jumbo-sized.
• W-240 – Reasonably priced, attractive grade.
• W-320 – Widely available and popular.
• W-450 – Smallest and most affordable.
• Scorched wholes – Slightly brown color.
• Butts, splits, and pieces – Lower-priced, used in cooking and sweets.

Quality checks include taste testing, infestation checks, clumping after packaging, and foreign body detection.

Pre-shipment inspection follows prescribed standards, with packaging in 4-gallon vacuum-sealed tins, each holding 11.34 kg (25 lbs). Two tins are packed in a carton for export, weighing about 50 lbs.

VANILLA

Vanilla beans, particularly cured ones, are among the most premium agro commodities globally.
